Large waist but otherwise good fit

I am between a medium and large in most skirts/pants. I ordered a large and it fit well in the thighs/butt. Length was as expected. Waist is too large and there is no drawstring. They won't fall down because of the compression shorts but I won't be able to wear a crop shirt or tuck in a shirt.
